This album, "Beautiful Questions" gets it's name from two specific songs on this record, "Beautiful Questions Part 1 and 2." These songs are not what most people would consider hit songs but they ask the questions that I believe are important. I have realized over the years that I had a lot of questions for God. Growing up it was implied that questioning God was bad, but now I see, questions are actually quite beautiful. I realized that all these things I didn't understand weren't pushing me away from God but rather drawing me near to him. I don't believe that faith is just blind belief but more so questions that lead to answers, followed by more questions that lead to more answers. I believe we refer to this as faith-to-faith in Christianity. If God was something or someone that I could fully comprehend, he couldn't be God to me. We would be the equal footing. So my question for myself became, "How can I have true belief without real questions?" I see now that He is not intimidated or even offended by questions. In fact, He loves them because he knows that the deeper I search the more I will be transformed into his likeness. My mind can't stay the same. It has to change. The questioning process renews my mind and naturally draws me closer to Him. Questions are leading me to more faith and that process is beautiful. Those questions are beautiful. That's what this album and it's title is about for me. Hopefully it can be that for you too. I leave you with the words to the bridge of Beautiful Questions (Part 1): "It's the beauty of this mystery, that draws me into You. It's Your mercy that follows me, when I thought I could hide from Truth."
